Ultherapy PRIME focuses ultrasound beneath the skin, Thermage FLX spreads radiofrequency heat through the dermis, and Soprano Titanium warms tissue with diode laser light. Skin tightening in Seoul at Pixelab Beauty Clinic means matching one of these energies, or a thread, to the layer that has loosened. Dr. Jongkeun Song, a Korean board-certified plastic surgeon, plans the device and its settings for each face.

How the non-surgical facelift options differ by layer

A non-surgical facelift is a treatment that tightens or lifts facial tissue without incisions, using focused energy or dissolvable threads. Sagging face tissue has more than one source. The skin itself thins and loses elasticity, the fat pads under it shift downward, and the fibrous SMAS layer that surgeons tighten in a surgical facelift slackens. Each energy type reaches a different depth, so the useful question is which layer has changed in your face and which tool is built for that depth.

The table lists what the clinic offers, grouped by energy type, with the session plan from the clinic's own treatment guide.

Focused ultrasound: Ultherapy PRIME and Shurink Universe

Micro-focused ultrasound concentrates energy into small thermal points at a set depth while the skin surface stays intact. Ultherapy PRIME, made by Merz Aesthetics, is priced by shot count from 100 to 600 shots, and the clinic's guide plans one session followed by a review six to twelve months later. In a rater-blinded cohort, a single ultrasound session on the forehead raised the brow by less than 2 mm on average, with brief redness and swelling (Alam et al., 2010). That size of change is the realistic frame for a single treatment. Shurink Universe and LinearZ share one line on the price sheet and are planned at around three sessions, four weeks apart.

Radiofrequency: Thermage FLX, VOLNEWMER and DENSITY RF

Monopolar radiofrequency passes current through the skin, and the tissue's resistance turns it into heat across a broad, even zone of the dermis. Thermage FLX is sold at 600 shots for the face, with a separate Eye Thermage plan. VOLNEWMER, from Classys, comes in 300 and 600 shot plans plus Eye VOLNEWMER plans, and the clinic plans about three sessions four weeks apart. DENSITY RF by Jeisys Medical appears on the price sheet as Density Alpha, the version fitted with the ALPHA TIP. Ultrasound places its heat in separate points at a fixed depth, while RF warms a continuous sheet of tissue. That difference in where the heat lands, together with comfort and budget, is what separates the two families for a given face.

Titanium lifting, Onda and InMode

Titanium lifting runs on the Soprano Titanium platform and is priced by energy in kJ, from 30 kJ up to 90 kJ with Ethosome, plus a one-year subscription with sessions every six weeks. Onda by DEKA uses microwave energy aimed at the fat layer, with face plans at 50 or 80 kJ and a body plan that uses a 12 mm tip. InMode FORMA and FX are charged by area, from one small zone to the full face. For FX, the clinic's guide notes bruising that can last a week or longer, so it is less suited to the days right before a flight or an event.

triLift, N-gine and Super Veloce

triLift by Lumenis pairs radiofrequency heating with muscle stimulation and has separate face and eye plans. Treatment can start without numbing, and cream is applied if you want it.

N-gine is listed on the price sheet as "EMS lifting" and can be booked as a single session, a three or five session course, or one small area such as the double chin, under-eye area, forehead or front cheeks. Super Veloce is charged for the neck, the face or both together, and it also has a separate IPL mode line. The material provided by the clinic names these two devices without a maker or a working principle, so this page lists their plans and prices only. Opus by Alma, with UniFace and Coaxipolar modes, has its own page.

Thread lifting for a mechanical lift

Threads are placed under the skin with a needle or cannula, and their small cogs or cones hold soft tissue in a raised position. The thread lift menu includes Mint thread, Silhouette Soft and packages that mix PDO and PCL threads. The clinic's guide expects daily life to continue straight away, with bruising and swelling settling within 3 to 7 days, and a progress check one to three months later. A meta-analysis of thread-lift complications linked non-absorbable threads and older age with a higher complication rate and advised telling patients that the lift may not last long (Niu et al., 2021).

When a non-surgical facelift is postponed

  • Pregnancy, since energy and thread treatments are elective
  • Active acne, infection or a cold sore in the area to be treated
  • A pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, for radiofrequency and muscle-stimulation devices
  • Very heavy, folded skin, where energy devices have limited reach
  • An important event within the bruising window of the chosen option

Side effects worth knowing before you book

The clinic's guide describes the expected reactions by device. After Ultherapy PRIME, tenderness, swelling and bruising can last several days. After Thermage FLX or Titanium lifting, redness and warmth fade over hours to a few days. Onda can leave redness, warmth and tenderness for a similar period. Less common problems include burns, blistering, temporary numbness and nerve irritation. A case series and literature review of micro-focused ultrasound found that serious adverse events are rare but possible and may be under-reported (Friedmann et al., 2017). With threads, the risks include visible or palpable thread ends, dimpling, infection and asymmetry.

Who plans the treatment and how to visit

Pixelab Beauty Clinic is led by one doctor, Dr. Jongkeun Song, a Korean board-certified plastic surgeon. According to its own records, Pixelab Beauty Clinic was the first plastic surgery clinic in Korea to introduce the Opus, Titanium lifting and triLift platforms. FAQ

Non-surgical facelift FAQ

What is the difference between Ultherapy and Thermage?

Ultherapy PRIME uses micro-focused ultrasound that heats small points at a chosen depth, down to the SMAS layer. Thermage FLX uses monopolar radiofrequency that heats a broad layer of the dermis evenly. Neither is ranked above the other on this page; the depth of your laxity, how much heat you tolerate and the cost per plan decide between them.

Which skin tightening option suits early sagging along the jawline?

That depends on which layer has loosened. Deeper laxity near the SMAS points toward focused ultrasound, while thin, crepey skin points toward radiofrequency. Where fat sits under the jaw, microwave or InMode FORMA and FX enter the plan. The choice rests on skin thickness, fat and jawline shape, which are assessed in person.

How long do the results of Ultherapy PRIME or Thermage FLX last?

The clinic's treatment guide gives roughly 6 to 12 months for Ultherapy PRIME, Thermage FLX, DENSITY and VOLNEWMER, varying from person to person. Titanium lifting, Onda, InMode and triLift are kept up with repeat sessions. Aging continues after any device, so later sessions maintain the effect.

How much downtime should I expect after HIFU or RF tightening?

Downtime differs by device. Redness and warmth after RF or Titanium lifting fade within hours to a few days, while HIFU can leave tenderness, swelling or bruising for several days. InMode FX bruising can last about a week. Your exact window depends on the device, the energy level and how your skin reacts.

Can I fly home on the day of my non-surgical facelift?

Yes. The clinic's treatment guide lists same-day travel home for Ultherapy PRIME, Thermage FLX, Titanium lifting, Onda, InMode, triLift and thread lifting. Leave a spare day if you choose threads or InMode FX, because bruising can show for several days. Plan your stay once the consultation confirms which device and how many sessions you will have.

Does HIFU or Thermage hurt, and is numbing used?

Heat is felt during each pass, and its strength depends on the energy level and the area. Numbing cream is applied for Ultherapy PRIME, Thermage FLX and Titanium lifting, and local anesthesia is an option with Ultherapy PRIME. triLift and InMode can start without numbing, with cream added on request.

What qualifications does the doctor who plans my lifting treatment hold?

Dr. Jongkeun Song is a Korean board-certified plastic surgeon and the Medical Director of Pixelab Beauty Clinic. Plastic surgery training covers the facial layers that tightening devices aim at, including the SMAS, which guides the choice of depth and energy for each area of your face.

Do the lifting prices include VAT?

No. Prices are listed before tax, and 10% VAT is added at payment. Each price card shows the VAT-inclusive total underneath. Ask whether numbing cream or any add-on is included, and request a written breakdown before you book.

Is there an interpreter if I do not speak Korean?

Yes. An English interpreter works at the clinic, so the consultation and aftercare instructions can be given in English. You can also message the clinic on WhatsApp in English before your trip, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Is a deposit required to reserve Thermage or Ultherapy?

Deposit and cancellation terms are not published on this site. Ask for them in writing for your specific booking before you send any payment, including what happens if your flight changes and you need to move the appointment.

Can energy-based lifting and a thread lift be combined?

They can be planned together, because energy devices tighten tissue with heat while threads hold tissue in place mechanically. The Peter Pan and Silhouette Rejuver packages on the thread lift page are the combinations the price sheet lists. Spacing and order are decided for your face during the visit.
