Juvelook, Sculptra and Radiesse are collagen stimulators: injectables whose particles prompt the skin to lay down new collagen in the weeks after treatment. For anyone comparing Juvelook in Korea with the alternatives, Pixelab Beauty Clinic prices Juvelook Skin and Juvelook Volume per cc, next to Sculptra, Radiesse, Ellansé, AestheFill, Olidia and Colshine, all on one sheet.

Who collagen stimulator injections suit
A collagen stimulator differs from a hyaluronic acid filler in what it leaves behind. A filler is itself the volume. A stimulator places particles in the deep dermis or the fat layer, and the body walls them off with fresh collagen fibers. Tissue work on poly-L-lactic acid found the particles wrapped in type I and III collagen and still present 28 months later (Stein, 2015). The visible change therefore builds over weeks, and that slow pace is part of the treatment.
That pace is the main reason to choose or skip these products. They match someone who wants gradual firming or soft volume. They match poorly when the goal is a sharp, sculpted shape by a fixed date, or when the main concern is heavy, hanging skin that an injection cannot hold up.
Usually a good fit
- Hollows at the temples or cheeks that came on gradually
- Thinning, crepey skin you want to firm up
- Rough texture and large-looking pores (Juvelook Skin)
- Preference for a slow change over an instant one
- Able to schedule 1–3 sessions weeks apart
We may suggest waiting
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Infection, cold sores or flaring acne at the site
- Past keloids or lumps after injections (tell the clinic)
- Autoimmune disease or medicine that slows healing
- Heavy sagging where lifting is the real need
- A wedding or photo shoot within two weeks

How Juvelook, Sculptra and Radiesse build collagen
Each product carries a different particle. Juvelook combines poly-D,L-lactic acid (PDLLA) with hyaluronic acid, and AestheFill is also PDLLA-based. Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a powder mixed with sterile water before use. Radiesse suspends calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres in a gel, and Ellansé suspends polycaprolactone (PCL) microspheres in a gel. Olidia injection, Evercl and Colshine are on the same price sheet; ask for the ingredient sheet of any product you are offered.
The gel in Radiesse and Ellansé takes up space, so some fullness shows on the day. With PLLA and PDLLA the early fullness is mostly water and swelling, and the lasting change follows as collagen forms. In a randomized, evaluator-blinded trial, injectable PDLLA was non-inferior to hyaluronic acid filler for nasolabial folds (Ting, 2024). A 2025 systematic review found PLLA and CaHA effective and safe in the face and asked for standardized technique and longer safety follow-up (Ferreira, 2025).
Depth and spread matter more here than with plain filler. Particles placed too close to the surface or bunched together are what turn into visible bumps. For that reason the injection layer, the dilution and the spacing are set area by area, and the product is matched to whether the aim is texture or volume.
The before-and-after photos on this page were taken at the clinic; how much new collagen forms differs between people, so results vary.

Prices
Juvelook and Sculptra Cost in South Korea
Collagen stimulators are priced by the unit each product comes in. Juvelook, AestheFill, Olidia, Colshine and Ellansé are listed per cc, Sculptra per vial and Radiesse per syringe. A single Sculptra vial, for instance, is ₩1,200,000 + VAT. Amounts on the sheet exclude VAT, which adds 10% at checkout, and each card shows the VAT-inclusive figure beside the base price.
The page does not fix unit counts in advance, because temples, cheeks and the jawline each take a different amount. Ask for a written quote naming the product, the number of units and the number of sessions. Then compare totals across products, since a lower price per cc can still mean more cc.

Safety
Risks of collagen stimulator injections
These products are medical injections. The known risks include:
- Bruising, swelling and tenderness at the injection points, lasting from a few days to 2 weeks or more.
- Nodules or papules, small firm lumps under the skin. In a review of CaHA they were the most frequent side effect, appeared mainly where muscles move a lot, and were mostly not visible and went away on their own (Kadouch, 2017).
- Late inflammatory lumps (granulomas), which can appear months after treatment and need medical review.
- Vascular occlusion, where injected material blocks a blood vessel; sudden pain, blanching or dusky skin needs urgent attention.
- Infection at an injection site.
- Uneven or asymmetric results, or a smaller change than hoped, because the collagen response differs from person to person.
The research base is still limited. A systematic review rated the quality of facial PLLA studies as low, with five of eleven at high risk of bias, and recorded bruising, nodules and swelling as mild to moderate events (Signori, 2024).
Contact the clinic promptly about pain that worsens, skin turning pale or gray, a hot or growing lump, or any change in vision.

FAQ
Questions about Juvelook, Sculptra and Radiesse
What is the difference between Juvelook and Sculptra?
Both are lactic-acid polymers. Juvelook pairs poly-D,L-lactic acid with hyaluronic acid and is sold per cc in Skin and Volume versions. Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid supplied in a vial that is mixed before injection. Both work gradually, and the choice turns on the area and how deep the change needs to be.
How do Juvelook Skin and Juvelook Volume differ?
The price sheet lists Juvelook Skin for pores and firmness and Juvelook Volume for volume, each per 1 cc. Skin is placed more superficially to work on texture, while Volume is meant for shallow hollows. One face can use both, on different areas.
How long do Juvelook results last?
The clinic states that Juvelook is broken down and absorbed gradually over 4 to 6 months while its effect holds. How long the collagen response stays visible afterward differs from person to person, and aging, weight change and sun exposure all play a part.
What is the downtime after a collagen stimulator injection?
Bruising, swelling and small lumps can appear, and the clinic gives a range of a few days to 2 weeks or more. Larger amounts, deeper placement and products with a gel carrier can swell more, so leave two clear weeks before a wedding or photo shoot.
Can I fly home the same day after Sculptra or Radiesse?
Yes. According to the clinic, a same-day flight home is possible after collagen stimulator injections. If your plan includes a second session 4 to 8 weeks later, build your trips around that interval and keep the treated area out of strong sun while it heals.
How many collagen stimulator sessions will I need?
Between one and three, depending on the product, spaced for example 4 to 8 weeks apart. Radiesse and Ellansé add some fullness on the day, while PLLA and PDLLA build change more slowly, which is one reason the count differs. Your quote should state the number of sessions.
What training does the doctor have?
Dr. Jongkeun Song is a Korean board-certified plastic surgeon and the Medical Director of Pixelab Beauty Clinic. Plastic surgery training covers facial anatomy, including the vessels and fat layers that injectables pass through. Dr. Song is a graduate of Konyang University College of Medicine.
Are the per-cc prices before VAT, and how is my total worked out?
Yes, every listed price is before VAT, which adds 10% at payment. One cc of Juvelook Skin is ₩150,000 before VAT and ₩165,000 with it. Your total depends on how many cc, vials or syringes the plan uses.
Can I consult in English?
Yes. An English interpreter works at the clinic. Before you travel you can send photos and questions about products and areas on WhatsApp in English, so product choices can be talked through early, and the team replies as soon as possible.
Is a deposit needed to book, and can I cancel?
Deposit and cancellation terms are not listed on this page. Ask for them in writing, with a quote naming the product and the number of units, before you transfer any money, so you know where you stand if your flight changes.
Can collagen stimulators cause lumps?
Yes, they can. Small firm nodules are the side effect most linked with these products, and they appear more where muscles move a lot, such as around the mouth. Even placement at the right depth lowers the chance. A lump that turns red, warm or larger needs to be seen.
Which areas of the face are these products used on?
Temples, cheeks, the folds beside the mouth and the jawline are typical areas, along with crepey cheek skin for Juvelook Skin. Areas near the eyes and lips need extra care because of thin skin and nearby vessels, so suitability is judged one area at a time.
