Polynucleotide (PN), a purified DNA fraction taken from salmon, is the active ingredient in Rejuran Healer, and it is placed in the dermis as rows of tiny deposits across the face. For Rejuran in Seoul at Pixelab Beauty Clinic, four versions are listed: Healer 2 cc, HB, Eye and S, each priced per syringe before VAT, with a 34G needle available for Healer.

Is it for you?

Who Rejuran Healer injections suit

Rejuran Healer adds no volume. It does not lift or fill a fold the way a hyaluronic acid filler does. The polynucleotide chains are thought to support the skin's own repair activity in the dermis, and the change people look for is in quality: thickness, fine lines, pore size and how evenly light reflects off the cheeks. That makes the injection a match for thin, tired-looking or post-acne skin, and a poor match for deep folds or sagging that needs structural support.

Because each syringe is spread through dozens of small punctures, anything that raises the chance of bruising or infection matters. The second list covers those cases.

Usually a good fit

  • Thin or dull skin that has lost bounce
  • Fine lines on the cheeks or around the eyes
  • Enlarged pores and rough texture
  • Marks and uneven texture left after breakouts
  • Wanting skin quality change with no added volume
  • Able to plan 3–4 sessions about 4 weeks apart

We may suggest waiting

  • Allergy to fish or salmon-derived ingredients
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Active acne flare, cold sores or infection on the face
  • Blood thinners or a bleeding disorder (tell the clinic first)
  • A key event within 2 weeks, since bruises can last that long

How it works

How Rejuran Healer is injected and which version is used

Rejuran is a branded polynucleotide product. Polynucleotides are long chains of DNA fragments, and PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) is a related, shorter-chain form from the same source. Laboratory and clinical work on PDRN describes an effect on wound healing through the adenosine A2A receptor (Squadrito, 2017), which is the background for using these molecules in skin. The two are close relatives, and studies on one do not transfer one-for-one to the other.

The injection itself is shallow. Small amounts are placed in the upper dermis at many points, and each deposit raises a small bump on the surface. Those bumps, known as embossing, are the product sitting where it was placed, and they flatten as it disperses over the next few days.

The clinic's price list separates four versions. Rejuran Healer comes in a 2 cc syringe and sits under the Skin Regeneration heading of the list, with a thinner 34G needle available as an add-on. Rejuran HB is a 1 cc syringe listed as the reduced-pain option and given with a 34G needle. Rejuran Eye, also 1 cc with a 34G needle, is listed for wrinkle improvement and is meant for the thin skin around the eyes. Rejuran S is a separate 1 cc line whose use is matched to the area being treated.

The research base is promising and still thin. A randomized, double-blind split-face trial found polynucleotide injections improved the eye area and were well tolerated, measured against a hyaluronic acid filler (Lee, 2020). A five-patient case series reported better texture and tone with no serious side effects, which is very early evidence (Park, 2015). An expert review in 2026 described polynucleotides as well tolerated while stating that larger controlled trials and tissue studies are still needed (Rho, 2026). In a pilot study on melasma, adding polynucleotides to microneedle RF did no better than the RF alone (Gulfan, 2022).

Placement is planned zone by zone, small, precise amounts where the skin is thinnest or roughest.

1

Skin assessment

At consultation

Thickness, fine lines and pore size are reviewed area by area to choose the version and volume.

2

Numbing cream

The face is cleansed and numbing cream is applied over the zones that will be injected.

3

Injection

Polynucleotide is placed in small deposits across each zone, leaving rows of raised bumps.

4

Soothing

The skin is gently cleaned and cooled; the bumps are left to settle on their own.

5

Aftercare briefing

Instructions on washing, makeup and signs to watch for are given before you leave.

Prices

Rejuran Healer Cost in South Korea

Rejuran is priced per syringe. Healer is sold as a 2 cc syringe, while HB, Eye and S are 1 cc each, so comparing them by cost alone mixes two volumes. A full-face Healer session and a targeted eye-area session are different purchases even when the totals look close.

The amounts on the cards leave out VAT. A 10% tax is added at payment, and each card prints the VAT-inclusive total beside the base figure. The 34G needle is an extra for Healer only; HB and Eye already come with it. Combining versions, for example Healer on the cheeks and Eye under the eyes, means adding the syringes together, and your written quote lists each one.

Safety

Rejuran Healer side effects and limits

Polynucleotide injections are shallow, yet each one is still a needle puncture with product left behind:

  • Raised bumps, redness and mild swelling at injection points for 1–3 days.
  • Bruising that can take 1–2 weeks to clear, more likely with blood thinners.
  • Infection at puncture sites, or a cold sore flare in people who carry the virus.
  • Allergic or hypersensitivity reactions, including in people sensitive to fish-derived ingredients.
  • Small lumps or uneven texture if product gathers in one spot.
  • Stinging during injection despite numbing cream, felt most on thin skin near the eyes.
  • A temporary change: the clinic reports results lasting about 1–3 months, and research on polynucleotides is still limited.

Message the clinic promptly if a bump becomes hot and painful, swelling grows after day 3, or a rash or breathing difficulty appears.

FAQ

Rejuran Healer injection questions

Is Rejuran Healer painful?

It stings, because the needle enters many points across the face. Numbing cream is applied first, and Rejuran HB is listed as the reduced-pain version given with a 34G needle. For Healer, a 34G needle can be added for ₩50,000 before VAT if you want a finer needle.

How long do the bumps last after Rejuran?

One to three days. The clinic's guide is bumps and redness for 1 to 3 days, with bruises possible for 1 to 2 weeks. Thinner skin and more injection points make bruising more likely, so book Rejuran at least two weeks before photos or an event.

Can I fly home on the same day as my Rejuran injection?

Yes. The clinic says a same-day flight home is possible after Rejuran. With 3 to 4 sessions recommended about 4 weeks apart, a single trip covers one session, so plan return visits or ask how to spread sessions across separate trips.

What is the difference between Rejuran HB and Rejuran Healer?

Healer is a 2 cc syringe, while HB is a 1 cc syringe listed as the reduced-pain option and given with a 34G needle. The two are priced separately at ₩340,000 and ₩200,000 before VAT, so volume and comfort both shape the choice.

Is Rejuran the same as a salmon DNA or PDRN injection?

Rejuran is a polynucleotide injection, the injection searched for as salmon DNA injection. PDRN comes from the same source but uses shorter chains and is a separate product type. The research on each is related, though results from one cannot be read straight across to the other.

How long does Rejuran Healer last?

About 1 to 3 months, according to the clinic, and it varies by person. That is why a course of 3 to 4 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart is the starting plan. Top-ups after the course are planned on how your skin has held the change.

What is Rejuran Eye used for?

Rejuran Eye is a 1 cc version listed for wrinkle improvement and meant for the thin skin around the eyes, such as crow's feet and the under-eye area. It is given with a fine 34G needle. It does not replace a filler for hollows that need volume.

Is the doctor at Pixelab Beauty Clinic a plastic surgeon?

Yes. Dr. Jongkeun Song is a Korean board-certified plastic surgeon and the clinic's Medical Director. Dr. Song was a clinical fellow and clinical instructor at Incheon St. Mary's Hospital, The Catholic University of Korea.

How much is Rejuran Healer in Korea, and is VAT included?

Rejuran Healer 2 cc is ₩340,000 before VAT, which is ₩374,000 once the 10% tax is added at payment. HB, Eye and S are priced per 1 cc. Ask for a written quote that lists every syringe and add-on in your plan.

Can I ask about Rejuran in English before I travel?

Yes. The clinic has an English interpreter on staff, and you can message us on WhatsApp in English with your dates and the areas you want treated. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

Is there a deposit for Rejuran, and what if I cancel?

Deposit and cancellation terms are not published here. Request them in writing with your syringe quote before you pay anything, so you know what is refunded if your trip is moved or cut short.

Can Rejuran be combined with acne scar subcision?

Yes. The price list includes a skin booster add-on, with Rejuran as the example, for patients having subcision for acne scars. The booster is placed alongside the scar work in the same plan. Ask for both items to be shown separately on your quote.
