Opus UniBody is sold by kilojoules of radiofrequency energy, while LinearZ body and ULFIT come in blocks of 100 shots, and those units set the price of body contouring in Korea at Pixelab Beauty Clinic. The clinic's guide lists a course of 3 or more sessions about a month apart, no anesthesia or only numbing cream, and a same-day flight home.

Is it for you?

Who non-surgical body contouring suits, including cellulite

Body devices address two separate problems. The first is a pocket of fat under the skin that stays put through diet and exercise, on places such as the abdomen, flanks or thighs. The second sits at the surface: skin that has lost firmness, or cellulite, the dimpled texture that forms where fibrous bands pull the skin down between lobules of fat. People searching for cellulite treatment in Korea are describing the second problem, and the plan for it differs from the plan for a fat pocket.

These devices do not produce weight loss. Studies of them measure change in centimeters of circumference or in how dimpling looks, and they report those changes after a series of sessions on a limited area. Someone well above a stable weight will see more from weight change first.

Usually a good fit

  • A pinchable fat pocket on the abdomen, flanks or thighs
  • Mild loose skin on the belly, arms or thighs
  • Dimpled cellulite on the thighs or buttocks
  • A stable weight close to your usual range
  • Time to return for 3 or more monthly sessions

We may suggest waiting

  • Hoping to lose weight or a large fat volume
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • A pacemaker or metal implant in or near the area
  • Open wounds, infection or a rash on the area
  • A hernia or recent surgery in the area

How it works

How Opus UniBody, LinearZ body and ULFIT work on the body

Opus is a radiofrequency (RF) platform made by Alma Lasers, and UniBody is the body setting on the clinic's price list. RF current meets resistance as it passes through tissue and turns into heat. Warming the deeper skin and the fat just beneath it is aimed at tightening collagen and firming the skin over the following months. The dose is counted in kilojoules (kJ), the total energy delivered, and that is why it is sold as an 80 kJ unit.

LinearZ is a high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) device made by Jeisys Medical. Ultrasound waves converge at a set depth below the surface, so heat builds there while the skin on top is spared, and on the body that depth is aimed at the fat layer. A systematic review of HIFU for skin tightening and body contouring judged it a promising option with short downtime and called for better-defined treatment protocols (Haykal, 2025). The review covers HIFU devices as a group and does not test LinearZ itself.

ULFIT is the third body device on the list and is also sold in blocks of 100 shots. Its specifications are not covered on this page.

Onda, a microwave device made by DEKA, has a body setting at the clinic as well and is described on its own page. The microwave research is where cellulite comes up most. An international advisory board for Onda Coolwaves set out parameters, patient selection and protocols while stating that long-term efficacy and safety have not been evaluated (Hoffmann, 2024). In a 19-person study without a control group, three sessions with a 2.45 GHz Onda device reduced abdominal circumference without severe pain (Bonan, 2023).

Matching a device to an area starts with what is there: how thick a fold of fat you can pinch, how loose the skin is, and whether the surface is dimpled. Each device is priced on its own line, so a plan can use one device for an area or different devices for different areas.

Prices

Body Contouring Cost in South Korea

Body devices are priced by dose. Opus UniBody is sold as an 80 kJ unit, and LinearZ body and ULFIT are sold in blocks of 100 shots. A larger area or a thicker layer of fat takes more units, so a unit price turns into a real total only once the units for each area are written down.

Tax is not part of the listed figures. The clinic adds Korea's 10% VAT at payment, and every price card shows the VAT-inclusive amount beside the base figure.

The course matters as much as one visit. With 3 or more sessions about a month apart in the clinic's guide, ask for a quote that shows units per session, the number of sessions and therefore how many trips to Seoul the plan involves.

A fat extraction injection is listed with the body treatments too. It is sold with a minimum purchase, so ask what it involves and how much has to be bought before adding it to a plan.

Safety

Side effects and limits of body devices

Energy devices heat tissue on purpose, and their side effects come from that heat:

  • Redness, warmth and tenderness lasting hours to a few days, as the clinic's guide describes.
  • Bruising or swelling over the treated area.
  • Burns, blisters or a change in skin color where heat builds up in one spot.
  • Tingling or temporary numbness after focused ultrasound near a nerve.
  • Uneven contour or small firm areas under the skin.
  • Little or no visible change, since response differs between people and areas.

The evidence is the main limit. A review of non-invasive body contouring devices found that little high-level evidence supports them (Nassab, 2015). Much of the cellulite research is small and uncontrolled: one study of 26 people reported better-looking cellulite and smaller circumference on the buttocks and thighs after four microwave sessions, with no control group and no device named in its abstract (Bennardo, 2022).

Contact the clinic if a blister forms, pain grows after the treatment day, or the skin darkens or breaks.

FAQ

Body contouring questions

Is non-surgical body contouring the same as liposuction?

No. Opus UniBody, LinearZ body and ULFIT work through the skin with heat, with no incision and either no anesthesia or numbing cream. Liposuction removes fat through small incisions and is surgery, with its own page, prices and recovery.

Can body contouring treat cellulite?

Energy devices are used on dimpled skin, but the evidence is modest. Microwave and other device studies report softer-looking cellulite after several sessions, mostly without control groups. Cellulite comes from fibrous bands and fat lobules under the skin, so expect gradual, partial change.

What is the downtime after a body contouring session?

Redness, warmth and tenderness can follow and, in the clinic's guide, last from a few hours to a few days. Higher energy, a larger area and skin that reacts easily push toward the longer end. Loose clothing over the treated area is more comfortable on the day.

Can I fly home the same day, and how long should I stay in Seoul?

Yes, a same-day flight home is possible. The larger planning question is the course of 3 or more sessions about a month apart. If you cannot come back monthly, raise it before the first session so you know what a single visit can and cannot do.

How many body contouring sessions will I need?

The clinic's guide gives 3 or more, spaced about 1 month apart. The exact count depends on the area, the thickness of the fat layer and how the skin responds between visits, so it is reviewed as the course goes on.

How long do body contouring results last?

There is no single figure. The clinic's guide says it varies by device and body area. Weight gain can change a treated area again, so holding a steady weight helps keep the shape gained over the course.

Who is the doctor at the clinic?

Dr. Jongkeun Song is a Korean board-certified plastic surgeon and the Medical Director of Pixelab Beauty Clinic. Plastic surgery training covers the contour of the trunk and limbs, from fat removal to fat grafting, which helps when weighing a device course against surgery for an area.

Are the body contouring prices before VAT?

Yes. Prices are listed without Korea's 10% VAT, which is added at payment. A 100-shot block of LinearZ body is ₩100,000 before VAT and ₩110,000 including it, and your quote multiplies that by the blocks used for each area.

Does body contouring hurt?

The clinic's guide lists either no anesthesia or numbing cream. RF feels like deep warmth, and focused ultrasound can give short, sharp pulses of heat where it reaches the fat layer. Settings can be lowered if the heat becomes hard to tolerate, so speak up during the session.

Can I consult in English?

Yes. English interpreters work on site, and before you travel you can message our WhatsApp in English with the areas you want treated and any questions. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

What are the deposit and cancellation terms for a body contouring course?

They are not set out on this page. Request both in writing alongside your quote, and for a course of several sessions ask what happens to prepaid sessions if your travel dates move.
