InMode FORMA warms the skin with bipolar radiofrequency, and InMode FX pairs that heat with high-voltage pulses aimed at small fat pockets along the jaw and under the chin. Anyone pricing InMode Korea options will find both handpieces at Pixelab Beauty Clinic charged by area: a single zone, the three-zone V-line or the full face, plus a combined FX and FORMA full-face set.

Is it for you?
Who InMode FX and FORMA suit
Two separate changes show up in the lower face with age. Skin loses firmness and starts to drape, and soft fat gathers along the jawline and below the chin. FORMA is built for the first change because it heats the skin itself. FX is built for the second because its pulses are directed into a pinched fold of fatty tissue. Which handpiece you need, or whether you need both, depends on which change is more visible in your own face.
Neither handpiece replaces surgery. Radiofrequency gives gradual, moderate change, and skin that hangs in loose folds is beyond what heat from the surface can draw back. If an item on the second list applies to you, mention it before booking, because some of those conditions rule out radiofrequency on that area altogether.

How it works
How InMode FORMA and FX work on skin and fat
InMode is the company that makes the platform, and FORMA and FX are two handpieces that attach to it. FORMA uses bipolar radiofrequency (RF): the current runs between two electrodes on the same applicator, so the heat stays in the skin just under the tip. The handpiece is designed to track skin temperature as it glides, keeping the dermis at a warm, steady level for the length of each pass. Heat at that level is meant to contract existing collagen fibers and prompt the skin to lay down new ones over the following weeks.
FX adds a second mechanism. A vacuum draws a fold of tissue into the applicator, and the device then delivers short high-voltage electrical pulses together with RF heat. InMode designs these pulses to act on the fat cells inside that fold, which is why FX is pointed at defined pockets such as a double chin or the soft area beside the jaw. The suction and the pulses also explain why FX can leave bruises that a FORMA pass does not.
On the clinic's price list the two handpieces are sold on their own or as a full-face set. One way to read the menu is FORMA when firmness is the concern, FX when a fat pocket is the concern, and the combined set when both apply to the same face.
Radiofrequency tightening has a research base, though not a strong one. A 2022 systematic review of monopolar and bipolar RF devices found measurable improvement in facial and body laxity, with side effects that were mostly mild and short-lived (Rohrich, 2022). An earlier review rated the overall evidence low, because the studies used widely different settings and few were well controlled (Araújo, 2015). A multicenter study of a different, minimally invasive InMode combination concluded that such treatments can fill the space between surgery and purely external care without taking the place of a facelift (Dayan, 2020). None of these papers tested FORMA or FX as used at this clinic, so they describe the technology in general.
Area review
At consultationJaw, chin and cheeks are checked for loose skin versus local fat, which points to FORMA, FX or both.
Numbing if needed
No anesthesia is required; numbing cream is applied only when you want it.
FORMA pass
The applicator glides over gel on the skin while the temperature is held at a steady level.
FX pulses
Where fat is the target, tissue is drawn into the tip and treated with short pulses, spot by spot.
Aftercare
Redness settles first; bruise care and the timing of your next session are noted before you leave.

Prices
InMode Cost in South Korea
InMode prices at Pixelab Beauty Clinic follow the handpiece and the size of the area. Each handpiece comes in three sizes: one area, the V-line, which counts as three areas, and the full face. FORMA and FX carry the same price at each size, and the full-face set covers both handpieces in a single visit.
The listed amounts exclude VAT. Payment adds 10% VAT, and each price card shows that VAT-inclusive total beside the base figure. A full face with both handpieces, for example, is ₩450,000 + VAT, which comes to less than booking a full face of each one separately. Because the clinic's guide is 3–5 sessions, ask for a quote that multiplies your chosen area by the number of sessions you plan, so the cost of a whole course is clear before you travel.

Safety
InMode FX and FORMA risks
Both handpieces deliver heat, and FX adds suction and electrical pulses, so the side effects differ between them. Possible effects include:
- Redness and warmth in the treated skin after either handpiece.
- Bruising from FX suction and pulses, which can last 7 days or more.
- Swelling and tenderness lasting several days.
- Burns or blisters if heat builds up in one spot, a known risk with any radiofrequency device.
- Temporary numbness or tingling along the jaw.
- Uneven contour if fat responds differently on the two sides of the face.
- Modest or no visible change in some people, since RF results vary.
In the systematic review cited above, serious complications were more frequent with monopolar devices than with bipolar designs, the type FORMA uses, and most reactions were mild and temporary (Rohrich, 2022). Contact the clinic promptly if a blister forms, pain grows after the first days, or a hard lump or a patch of changed skin color appears.

FAQ
InMode FX and FORMA questions
What is the difference between InMode FORMA and FX?
FORMA heats the skin with bipolar radiofrequency and is aimed at firmness and texture. FX draws tissue into the applicator and adds high-voltage pulses aimed at fat pockets, for example under the chin. FX can bruise, whereas FORMA mainly leaves warmth and redness that fade sooner.
Can FORMA and FX be done in the same visit?
Yes. The price list includes a full-face set that combines FX and FORMA in one visit, at ₩450,000 + VAT. It suits a face with both loosening skin and a local fat pocket, and the bruising expected after FX applies to the combined session as well.
How long does bruising last after InMode FX?
FX bruising can last 7 days or more, and swelling with tenderness can continue for several days after either handpiece. The size of a bruise depends on the suction, how many pulses an area receives and how easily your skin marks, so leave a buffer before photos or events.
Can I fly home on the day of my InMode session?
Yes. Flying out on the same day as an InMode session is possible, according to the clinic. If you choose FX, the bruising may still show a week later. If you plan a full course, the sessions sit about 4 weeks apart, which decides how many trips to Seoul you need.
How many InMode sessions are recommended?
The clinic's guide is 3 to 5 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart. Where you land in that range depends on how much laxity or fat the area holds and how it responds after each visit. Once the course ends, the effect is kept up with repeat sessions, because results differ between people.
Does InMode hurt?
No anesthesia is required, and numbing cream is applied only if you need it. FORMA feels like strong warmth as the applicator glides. FX adds a pulling sensation from the suction and a brief sting with each pulse. Say so at once if the heat feels sharp, so the setting can be lowered.
How long do InMode results last?
There is no fixed duration. According to the clinic, results differ from person to person and are maintained with repeat sessions. Collagen keeps remodeling for weeks after heating, and aging carries on in the background, so how often you return depends on how your skin holds the change.
Is the clinic led by a surgeon?
Yes. Dr. Jongkeun Song is a Korean board-certified plastic surgeon and the Medical Director of Pixelab Beauty Clinic. Plastic surgery training covers the anatomy of facial fat compartments and skin layers, the same structures FORMA and FX act on. Dr. Song is a member of the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
Are InMode prices shown before VAT?
Yes. Every InMode price on this page is before VAT, and 10% VAT is added at payment. A single FX area at ₩99,000 comes to ₩108,900 once VAT is included. A quote for a course should list each area and the number of sessions.
Can I talk to the clinic in English before booking?
Yes. English-speaking help comes from the interpreter on staff at the clinic. Before you travel, you can write to us on WhatsApp in English about FORMA, FX or the V-line price, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Is a deposit needed to book InMode?
No deposit or cancellation rules are posted on this page. Request them on WhatsApp before any payment, together with a quote for your areas and session count, and keep that reply with your booking in case your flight or travel dates change.
